Race Details

Valentines 5K/8K

Grab your sweetie or come looking for love! This race gives participants the opportunity to test themselves at the 5k or 8k distance. This race is designed to be run with your sweetheart. Couples that register for the race together receive a discounted rate.

When: Saturday, February 13, 2021. Race starts will run from 7:30am-9:30am. 

All racers will be assigned a specific start time based on the pace they provide in registration. Runners will start and finish the race on their own based on the time frame assigned for them. They can start anytime within the window of time they are provided. 

There will be no mass starts due to the coronavirus pandemic. 

Masks will be required at the start line and the finish line. They will not be required when you are running. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided for you.

Participants will begin their race by stepping on the timing mat at the start line. They will then step on the finish line mat to stop their time. 

Participants will be asked to not linger follow the race in order to reduce crowding. 

There will be no post race award ceremony. 

Where: Downtown Bentonville Square 

Due to the time necessary to assign start times, there will be no packet pick-up or race day registration.

Cost: $30 for individual and $50 per couple



All participants will receive a commemorative long sleeve shirt and finisher medal!

The Run Bentonville team is currently working to produce a high quality in person event for February 13th. We will make additional details available as we are able to finalize them.

Our focus will remain on safety based on the latest guidelines provided. To prioritize the health and safety of all athletes, volunteers, and staff we are taking preventative measures and implementing the following:


  • Do not participate if you are feeling sick, have a fever, are experiencing flu-like symptoms, or have been in close contact with someone who has COVID-19

Participants will have the opportunity to defer, not attend, or switch to a virtual event if they are experiencing any symptoms. 

Race Guidelines & Protocols

-Limited Field Size according to state and CDC guidelines

-No race day or expo registration.

-No race day packet pick up. 

-All participants are required to wear a mask or face covering except while actively participating in the event.

-Practice social distancing between athletes, volunteers, and staff at all times.

-To minimize large groups, all participants will be assigned a specific "start window". Each window will hold 50 participants. Corral assignments are based upon the estimated finish time given at registration. 

-No Touch Aid Stations

-Do not linger. Finishers will not be permitted to wait to other finishers. We will ask all participants to keep moving through the finish line chute.

-No award ceremonies on race day. Awards will be announced virtually and awards can be picked up at a later date at the Downtown Activity Center or will be mailed.
